Courts 2005
France:
During the 18th Century, real tennis had been in decline but the French
Revolution in 1789 brought an abrupt end to the game throughout France,
to such an extent that there are now only three active courts - Paris,
built in 1919, Fontainebleau
(1702) and Bordeaux (new court built in 1978).
U.S.A:
In the USA, the game blossomed at the turn of the 20th century and there
are now eleven courts in existence at:-

Tuxedo Park (1900)
Lakewood New Jersey (1902)
Aiken South Carolina (1903)
Philadelphia (1907)
Greentree Long Island (1915)
New York (two courts 1917)
Washington (1997)
