EXHIBITION MATCH: TOM GRANVILLE vs CLAIRE VIGRASS - Wednesday 15 September
Don't miss this excellent
demonstration of tennis when our own Tom takes on the World's No 1 lady
player 18 year old Claire Vigrass. Claire has a handicap of 7.9 and
will unquestionably be the next World Champion. She is a dynamic and
skilful player and an excellent ambassador for the game so
we hope you will support what will be an entertaining match!
The match will start at 6.30 pm
and will be followed by a George K Cheese and Wine Special.
Fran Walsh has kindly offered
to demonstrate the debrillator during the course of the evening, a must
for all those who play the game- hopefully it won't be needed for
real...
Cost: £15 for adults and
£5 for juniors

Armonico Consort
Concert September
18th 7.30 pm
What is believed to be the first concert in a real
tennis court is being performed on Saturday 18th September at Moreton
Morrell. It will feature classics such as Allegri's Miserere Mei and
Barber's Adagio for Strings.
Further information about Armonico Consort, the internationally
renowned Chamber Choir, can be found at www.armonico.org.uk.
Earlier this year Armonico Consort recorded their latest CD
"Naked Byrd 2" in the tennis court and the sound was absolutely superb
(and I am not particularly a lover of classical music).
This promises to be a most memorable evening with live performances of
some of the most beautiful music written for voice from the 12th to the
21st Century.
Tickets are available online at www.armonico.org.uk or by contacting the ticket
hotline on 0844 581 0750. A priority booking period of 3 weeks has been
given to all members of MMTCC, after which the tickets will be more
generally
available for sale.
Tickets cost £18 , with additional tickets in the gallery
(restricted view) for £10.

Paul Holland -
get well soon
Paul Holland has been in the wars with what sounds a very unpleasant
episode with an appendix (or lack of one). We wish him a very speedy
recovery.
